Grab New Orleans MC Nesby Phips' The Catchup mixtape, released last month. (Or stream it here.) In other Jets Fool news, Curren$y unveiled the artwork and tracklist for his upcoming Muscle Car Chronicles, which Curren$y said he recorded before Pilot Talk I and II. The Source says it'll be due in stores March 15.

Bridging Minneapolis and New Orleans, chamber folkies Dark Dark Dark (featuring Why Are We Building Such a Big Ship?'s Walt McClements) begin a string of dates around town starting 9 p.m. tonight at the Mudlark Theatre (then a free show at 1 p.m. at Sound Cafe tomorrow, and 10 p.m. Monday at Siberia). Find all kinds of free music here and here.

MyNameIsJohnMichael's John Michael Rouchell has been busy in the lab for the follow up to 2009's The People That Come and Go. As the opener for Dirty Dozen Brass Band tonight at Tipitina's, he'll unveil the new lineup (hint: lots of brass) and half a dozen tracks from the upcoming LP. Find a ton of scrapped demos and other songs on his blog.

George Winston performs an oil disaster relief concert at Loyola University's Louis J. Roussel performance hall at 7:30 p.m. tomorrow. Stream Winston's 2006 album Gulf Coast Blues & Impressions on his website.

More after the jump:

Check out garage rock 'n' roller and N.O. familiar Ty Segall (10 p.m. Sunday at Siberia) before he ships off with the Bruise Cruise. Grab the wonderfully fuzzy single "Girlfriend" off 2010's Melted.

Empress Hotel, Big History and Booty Trove Brass Band perform a free show at Blue Nile tomorrow night following the 25th annual Krewe du Vieux parade. Empress Hotel will also premiere the video for "Here Comes the New Challenger."

And below, the extended trailer (with Big Freedia) for the feature doc Bounce, due this summer:
