St. Joseph's Night ceremonial walk with Guardians of the Flame

Big Queen Cherice Harrison-Nelson invites friends and new friends to join with the Guardians of the Flame in our St. Joseph's Night ritual and ceremony

Drummers and other percussionists are especially welcome. Friends may join at any point along our route.

All participants are requested to conduct themselves in respect for the ritual and ceremonial nature of the proceedings.

Visit to community elder Mrs. Perkins

6:00 pm
Caravan to 2500 Bayou Road

6:15 pm
Ceremony and ritual led by Zion Trinity
2500 Bayou Road

6:30 pm
Caravan to 1525 Louisiana Avenue

6:45 pm
Ceremony and ritual for the health of the New Orleans music community
Performance of "Get You a Healing" by Big Chief Brian Harrison Nelson
Courtyard, Bultman home (A birthplace of the New Orleans Musicians' Clinic)

7:15 pm
Caravan to Second and Dryades Streets

7:30 pm
Ritual ceremonial meeting with the Wild Magnolias Mardi Gras Indians

7:45 pm (or just after dark)
Spirit-led procession through Uptown and Central City
