You guys: We're getting a Trader Joe's (sort of)

Posted By on Fri, Jul 20, 2012 at 3:15 PM

While it won't be in New Orleans, Louisiana is finally getting an outpost of the beloved grocer Trader Joe's (!!!). The Advocate reports the California-based chain will open in Baton Rouge's Acadian Village sometime next year.

The Baton Rouge store will be 13,000 square feet. Previously, Alex Woodward reported on New Orleans not having outposts of many national chains, including Trader Joe's. While the first Louisiana location will be at least an hour away from most New Orleanians, I sense many of us will be OK with the drive.

Maybe an IKEA will come next?
