Lineup announced for 3rd Annual New Orleans Irish Film Festival

Posted By on Tue, Sep 30, 2014 at 4:09 PM

The Annual New Orleans Irish Film Festival returns to the Prytania Theatre Oct. 10-12 with a strong slate full of local premieres. Anchoring the opening night gala will be a 25th anniversary screening of My Left Foot presented on 35mm film. Other highlights include The IrIsh Pub, an exploration of Ireland's incomparable pub culture; Animated Ireland, a collection of groundbreaking short animated films; and the award-winning Good Vibrations, which tells the true story of Belfast record store owner Terri Hooley, who started his own record label in the 1970s and became a major figure in the history of punk rock. Hooley was the guy who recorded The Undertones' Teenage Kicks, which the late, great British deejay John Peel named as the greatest single of all time. See the trailer above. We can hardly wait for this one.

Two-day passes to the Festival are available here for $25. See the full schedule here.
