The zine Put a Egg On It hits New Orleans next month for Press Street event

New York City-based food magazine Put a Egg on It heads to New Orleans next month for an interactive residency at Press Street.

The biannual magazine focuses on the "historic, artistic and metaphysical qualities of food" and celebrates the communal joys of eating with friends and family through personal essays, recipes, illustrations, photos and more.

Their time in New Orleans (called "If I Knew You Were Coming, I'd Have Baked a Cake") begins with an on the night of Nov. 19 and continues through Nov. 23. Visitors will be invited to trade stories about meals they’ve made or eaten, with the exchange being both filmed and photographed.

Co-sponsored by Cutty Sark, Brugal Rum and Good Eggs, a pop-up shop will also be on hand featuring a number of small batch products (including Sir Kensington Ketchup and A&B Hot Sauce) as well as a selection of other independent food magazines from across the globe.
