With its anticipated reunion and new album, Sleater-Kinney has announced new dates for its 2015 tour welcoming back the punk trio from a decade-long hiatus. The band will perform in New Orleans at the Civic Theatre on April 19, 2015. Tickets are $30 and go on sale at 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 12.

The band — Carrie Brownstein, Corin Tucker and Janet Weiss — was formed in Olympia, Washington in the early '90s emerging from the "riot grrrl" scene, and released a string of influential punk rock albums on the label Kill Rock Stars, as well as a "final" album, 2005's The Woods, on Sub Pop. The band will release No Cities to Love, its first album in a decade, on Sub Pop early next year.

Brownstein's current outfit Wild Flag — which also featured Weiss on drums — released its acclaimed post-punk and power-pop influenced self-titled album in 2011. Brownstein also co-stars on the hit IFC sketch series Portlandia with comedian and Saturday Night Live veteran Fred Armisen. In addition to her work with Wild Flag, Weiss performed with Stephen Malkmus & the Jicks for albums in 2008 and 2012.Tucker, meanwhile, performed as a solo outfit as The Corin Tucker Band, which released its second album Kill My Blues in 2012.

The band's first single from No Cities is "Bury Our Friends":
