Last night, Pelicans lost to the Denver Nuggets but ... WHO CARES ANTHONY DAVIS GOT HURT!

Of course, all of these tweets occurred before Davis returned (to a standing ovation) and then was benched with less than a minute left in the fourth quarter. That was a bit of good news.

The bad news is the Pelicans announced that Davis will undergo an MRI on his groin. This still has the potential to be a serious injury to the man who may be the best player in the NBA right now.

Davis had just been announced as a starter in the NBA All-Star Game and had led New Orleans to a four-game winning streak that ended last night. New Orleans looked like a team on the rise. Now? Who knows.
