We knew the world would not be the same. Few people laughed, few people cried, most people were silent. I remembered the line from the Hindu scripture, the Bhagavad-Gita. Vishnu is trying to persuade the Prince that he should do his duty and to impress him takes on his multi-armed form and says, "Now I am become Death, the destroyer of worlds." I suppose we all thought that, one way or another. - Robert Oppenheimer
Little known fact: Robert Oppenheimer, a leading scientist on the Manhattan Project, wasn't talking about the atomic bomb in that quote, he was talking about Oklahoma City Thunder fans reacting to Anthony Davis' buzzer beater:

The best part about that clip? The genuine awe and terror in the voice of the Oklahoma City Thunder announcers. They thought their team was surely headed to overtime and a chance to beat the Pelicans twice in a row. They thought there was no way Anthony Davis, who at that point had only made two three-point shots in his career, could make one with 1.2 seconds left. Listen to the disappointment in their voices. Listen to the disbelief. It's magnificent.

Davis could have just had those three points and the night would have been a success for him, but that shot represented just three of 41 he dropped on the Thunder. But why describe Davis' heroics when you can just watch them?

Also, those 41 points, 10 rebounds and game-winner made for a historic night, according to ESPN Stats & Info.

P.S. that shot may have broken Monty Williams.
By the way, hitting game-tying or game-winning shots is just what Anthony Davis does.

Here's the most important takeaway though:

Damn. Watch the shot again. And again and again and again:

Oh, one last thing: Hey Russell Westbrook, what did you think about that play?
