The time has arrived for Timecode:NOLA's Joint Picture Project 3. Each year the organization challenges local filmmakers to a make short film in three weeks under specific guidelines and parameters, then edits the best 15 shorts into a feature-length film that screens at festivals across the globe and is released commercially on DVD. The finished film will be screened locally on April 18 as part as part of the FF3 Indie Film Fest.

This year's feature will tell the story of a single night between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. in New Orleans. The shorts must be presented in black and white, run five minutes or less, adhere to a specific and randomly selected time slot and be set in New Orleans. Registration is $75 and happens this Friday night, March 6 at 7 p.m. at Lost Love Lounge, 2529 Dauphine Street.

From the guidelines: "Rewrite your script, make sure your audio is perfect, take time with your shots, spend more than a weekend on your edit and feed your damn crew! We don’t care how nice your camera is if the story sucks." More info and early bird registration are available here.
