Gov. Bobby Jindal's "Geaux Bobby" event will be held Wednesday at Kenner's Pontchartrain Center, where he'll end all the suspense and let us in on his decision whether or not to run for the Republican nomination for president. He sat for an interview Friday with The Wall Street Journal's Reid Epstein, and outlined the case he'd make if he does run:

If I run, it'll be to make big changes in D.C. My big concern is President Obama is in the process of changing the American dream into the European nightmare — defining success as government dependence, government spending, government borrowing. We don't just need a Republican in the White House; we need a Republican that's going to make big changes.

Asked about his dismal poll numbers and a recent poll that found he would lose in Louisiana to Hillary Clinton, Jindal maintained he had cut the state budget and "taken on the teachers' unions," adding, "If you're gonna make those kind of big changes, you're going to rock the boat. It takes steel nerves to do that."
