Diners were robbed at gunpoint at Patois (6078 Laurel St., 504-895-9441) Thursday night, police said.

According to preliminary police reports, three armed men stormed the Laurel Street restaurant shortly after 11 p.m. while the restaurant was open. Multiple patrons were robbed, police said, as was the business. No further information was given by police.

According to the website Uptown Messenger, owner Leon Touzet said the gunmen forced approximately 20 people in the restaurant to the floor, pressing their guns to many of their heads, including Touzet and his employees. The gunmen robbed the victims of their wallets and valuables and stole cash out of the register. Touzet said the men wore hoodies and that one of the men had a "skull-type" mask covering the bottom half of his face.

No one was injured during the robbery, and no arrests have been made as of Friday morning.
