The fourth annual Hell Yes Fest comedy festival returns to New Orleans next month with a stacked lineup of stand-up comics, sketch groups, showcases and podcasts featuring national and local performers at venues across town.

Tim Heidecker will headline one of the festival's first shows at 10 p.m. Monday, Oct. 5. Heidecker is one half of comedy duo Tim & Eric (of Time & Eric Awesome Show, Great Job!, Tom Goes to the Mayor, Tim and Eric's Bedtime Stories and Check It Out! With Dr. Steve Brule, among others). He also co-hosts the film "review" web series and podcast On Cinema with Gregg Turkington (aka Neil Hamburger, who also performs at the festival this year). His latest is the insane and satirical spiritual self-help book Zone Theory. Heidecker also appeared in New Orleans last year with his "southern rock band" Pusswhip Banggang at The Howlin' Wolf and with Wareheim and Dr. Brule himself (John C. Reilly) for their elaborate live show at the Civic Theatre — read his Gambit interview here.
