  • Does dodgeball on a trampoline count as four dimensions?

Each week, the New Orleans Exercist brings you news and events for active living in the Big Easy. If rotten Halloween weather put a crimp in your workout plan, do not fear: here are free barre, biking and yoga this week, scheduled perfectly to serve as cross-training and recovery for the Crescent City Fall Classic. Plus: bounce over to the Northshore for the grand opening of a giant trampoline emporium. I refuse to believe this is just for kids.

- Barre3 sponsors another free Barre3 in the Tap Room class (or is it a classe?) at NOLA Brewing (3001 Tchoupitoulas St., (504) 301-0117; at 6 p.m. Tuesday (Nov. 3).

- NOLA Social Ride holds a fast-paced fitness ride from New Orleans City Park to Coconut Beach in Kenner on Wednesday (Nov. 4) and celebrates its slightly belated birthday with a fajita potluck picnic on Sunday (Nov. 8). Cyclists are notoriously ravenous eaters, so don't be rude and show up empty-handed.

- Remodeling means making compromises, like cutting out the helipad, the personal spa and the 30,000 square feet of trampolines and foam pits you were really hoping for. Elevation Station (250 Northpointe Court, Covington, 985-791-9838; can just about cover you on the last one. The venue holds its grand opening at 10 a.m. Saturday (Nov. 7), with face painting, character appearances, a dodgeball tournament and food vendors. An hour of jump time is $10 for ages 3-6, or $13 for ages 6 and up. (If you’re on the other side of the lake, Sector 6 offers trampolines and obstacle courses in Metairie.)

- The Crescent City Fall Classic is at City Park on Saturday. Late registration is $35. Spot yours truly and get one (1) free high five.

- Free yoga class Asanas in the Art Gallery is back at the Renaissance New Orleans Arts Hotel (700 Tchoupitoulas St., 504-613-2330) at 9 a.m. Sunday, the better to snag a good parking space before the Saints game.

- Art & Soul Yoga (1841 Enterprise Drive, 917-774-2115; opened recently on the West Bank. The studio offers drop-in classes for all levels.
