Tin whistler and punk singer Spider Stacy of The Pogues reunites with Louisiana's Lost Bayou Ramblers for another round of Poguetry In Motion next month in the series of Stacy-led concerts reinterpreting the music of the longtime punk rock band.

Stacy premiered Poguetry In Motion (named after the band's 1986 EP) earlier this year. "This whole Poguetry idea, if you analyzed it really, and asked me to speak on it honestly, is probably just an excuse to do this very thing with the Lost Bayou Ramblers," he told Gambit in August. "I'm half kidding. The idea of using the Pogues' songs in different contexts, seeing them through other people's eyes, a fresh take and that sort of thing, that's always intrigued me. ... The Lost Bayou Ramblers, it was a no-brainer. The fit seemed so obvious and so natural. It's only really a step away."

Jazz vocalist Meschiya Lake also joined the band for that performance, singing The Pogues' seminal Christmastime ballad "Fairytale of New York." Watch some highlights from the intimate, packed-house performance below. The next performance is 10 p.m. Friday, Dec. 18 at One Eyed Jacks. Tickets are $15.
