Prytania screens An American in Paris to benefit terror victims

The Prytania Theatre will present two screenings of An American in Paris today, Nov. 18, at 5 p.m. and 7:30 p.m. "as a tribute to the victims of the attacks in Paris and to show support to France." All proceeds from the screenings will be donated to "the Consulate General of France in New Orleans or a charity of their choice." Directed by Vincente Minnelli, featuring the music of George and Ira Gershwin and starring Gene Kelly, Leslie Caron and Oscar Levant, the 1951 An American In Paris won six Oscars including Best Picture.
