The Prytania Theatre will honor the late and universally admired David Bowie with screenings of two of his films, The Man Who Fell to Earth (Jan. 24-25 at 10 p.m.) and Labyrinth (Jan. 17 at 10 p.m.). Director Nicolas Roeg's surreal 1976 The Man Who Fell to Earth presents a wonderfully typecast Bowie as an alien who crash lands on Earth seeking water for his home planet. Jim Henson's fantasy adventure Labyrinth (produced by George Lucas) has earned a cult following since its release in 1986, in no small part due to Bowie's singular presence. More information and tickets are available here and here.
