SEVENTH ANNUAL TUBA FATS TUESDAY FESTIVAL
5 p.m. MAY 3, 2016
Tuba Fats square c/o St. Philip and Robertson

(more info below)

This free music event has enjoyed growing success over the last several years, becoming the defacto end-of-Jazz Fest-festival. Many musicians from the brass band community turn out to pay homage to Anthony ‘Tuba Fats’ Lacen, a native-born musical legend who mentored many of today’s great New Orleans musicians.

The event will feature performances outside on the Tuba Fats stage, a second line around the Treme neighborhood and returning for more musical performances in the Square, eventually moving inside the Candlelight Lounge for more performances with Preservation Hall Band and additional special guests.

The event is free and open to all. However the host organizers are actively seeking contributions to help defray the cost of of police, permits, music, space walk, etc. For more information, contact Patricia McDonald or John Richardson via email at wiseandbarking@yahoo.com or call (504) 453-3405.
