Re: “Sinator Vitter

You state your case so well. Never mind that Senator Vitter utilized the services of brothels and escort services again and again--it's those damned Democrats. Never mind that Senator Vitter backed the Bush II administration tirelessly, embraced a profoundly flawed economic ideology, and lied again and again--it was those damned Democrats. If Louisianans want to keep soiling where they eat, that I guess, is the lot of the semi-literate, the redneck reactionary. How could anyone disagree with you? I assume you've been reading the comic books of Jack T. Chick lately...

Re: “Sinator Vitter

PS: David's reputed to have had sex with Paula Neble. She was one of the government's "confidential informants," fancy that. I'm aware of all the names the government had--their list of former escorts. I should add that there is every possibility that the government's prosecutors (almost all of them appointed by Alberto Gonzales, Jeffrey Taylor being a curious interim appointee) knew that Palfrey was suicidal, as did some of her counsel. Why wasn't a competency hearing held? Ask Mr. Taylor. I'd also ask Preston Burton, he might be able to add more to this, although I doubt he's willing or even able to.

Re: “Sinator Vitter

I can assure your readers that Senator David Vitter will be reminded of his transgressions for a very long time, maybe the rest of his life.

The problem in Louisiana is the same one in Indiana: enough voter apathy that little men like Vitter slime into office, and the compounding factor of a state rife with irrational redneck voters who will swallow any lie that caters to their prejudices and fears.

I'm currently writing my own account of what I witnessed (indirectly, mind you) in the whole Palfrey scandal. I was a sometime confidant and defense researcher for the deceased Ms. Palfrey, and came into a lot of materials in the case from various sources.

I suggest that serious journalists probe the probable connection between Brent Wilkes, Kyle "Dusty" Foggo, Randy Cunningham, Shirlington Limo, and the cigar and poker parties held by Wilkes at the Westin and Watergate Hotels during the Bush II administration.

Ms. Palfrey told me and several others that Mr. Wilkes employed the services of Pamela Martin & Associates on several occasions. Numerous lobbyists and GOP congressmen attended these "parties," and I would imagine that Senator Vitter did as well, at least a few times. All roads lead to San Diego...
