Re: “CNN asks Sen. David Vitter about his "serious sin"

I didn't vote for that hypocritical diaper-wearing whoremonger so I'm not ashamed but I'm embarrassed as hell that I live in a state with people who did vote for him. He needs to stop robo-calling me too. I loathe him and I've called his office in Washington to tell them so for all the good that did. :)

Re: “Review: Ray Nagin's Katrina's Secrets

Whewww, so Fishy was safe from all the rabble that populated the Superdome. I'm so happy.

Hey Mare: the people who evacuated the city also got free meals. Not the kind of fine dining that you experienced for sure, but they were free. I myself provided many of them here in Monroe, along with a safe place for people to leave their pets, and come take a shower and lie down for awhile while they figured out what they were gonna do next.

Re: “This is why New Orleans can't have a Trader Joe's

ZO, do you mean 'drivel', not dribble? I don't know your age but you may indeed dribble when reading drivel. :)

Re: “Ray Nagin to publish Katrina's Secrets, the first volume of his memoirs

"disarmingly candid"

Isn't that what caused him so much trouble while he was in office? Not the 'disarming' part, but the 'candid' part?? I won't soon forget his referring to Ground Zero as a 'hole in the ground' (among his many gaffes).

"this spellbinding reckoning delivers exacting detail"
Heh, I'd be more open to believing that if it didn't come from his own website.

" while boldly exposing secrets that, until now, have been glossed over or spun out."

A truly candid person, mayor or not, would have 'boldly exposed' those secrets at the time, not now whilst trying to flog his book.

Just go away, Nagin, please.

Re: “Mixed Results

I've got to agree. I cringe when I hear someone say 'could care less'. Surely Mr. DuBos learned the difference somewhere along his journalistic path.

Re: “Friday Night Dad

At the risk of incurring your displeasure and being told to take a hike, I gotta agree with audubongal, I don't read you for 'daddy stories'.

As a former resident of New Orleans, I read you for your particular slant on life in New Orleans. I'm missing the wit, I'm missing the outrage, I'm missing the Chris I enjoyed so much, pre-K and post-K.
