Louisiana's spending problem seems so simple to explain, Maybe Carville can explain the problem with the 17 Trillion hole the Feds have.
Growing up in Louisiana, we always knew that it was a matter of time before a big hurricane hit NOLA. We knew this way before talk of global warming, like since Betty hit in I think 1965.
The earth is a dynamic place. Are scientists who are "so certain" are really capable of making the precise conclusions they are attempting? I don't think they are. Unfortunately global warming has become a political issue of the "think we know more than we do" leftists.
Using Hertsgaard's example "If 97 doctors out of 100 say your child has a serious illness, you don't listen to the three who say he doesn't.", it wasn't so long ago that 99.9% of doctors diagnosed abdominal ulcers as stress related. Then came one doctor that said no, I don't agree. He did his homework and we now know those ulcers are actually caused by bacteria. Countless individuals suffered from common knowledge of the time listening to the 99.9% of doctors that thought they knew the diagnosis. Many individuals suffered unnecessarily because of common think of the time.
Science is good and eventually they will have good answers. Until then we should be skeptical especially when the issue is simply a wedge for politicians and power.
