Re: “New Orleans’ contemporary art scene marks milestones in 2016

The St. Claude Arts District was created by Jeffrey and his partner Andrea Garland.
They opened L'art Noir and saw that Barristers and Farrington Smith were opening on St. Claude.
That is when they decided to have co-ordinated openings and choose the 2nd Sat of the month and came up with the name SCAD.
KK was not involved in the efforts of the SCAD.

Re: “Review: Booty's Street Food

Well the actual street food 'scene' came into fruition after Katrina, and it was NOT hipsters from seattle or, who cares... It was the Hispanic community providing affordable meals for the REAL Katrina re builders and it was not the hipster crew as of late rebuilding our city!!
Know your history about New Orleans culture and food, our unique food came about by the availability of local ingredients and the knowledge of the arriving immigrants. Gumbo describes more than a dish, it describes our culture and the blending of ethnicity s, you come here and you become one of us.....
Red Beans and Ricely yours!
Oh wait you probably don't know what that means, It's a reference to Louis Armstrong for the newbies......
