Thank you for posting this well thought out and inspired response to the travesty ya'll published. I have been dry, like the first author, many times during my years without alcohol, but I have also always been fortunate enough to find my way back to the happiest way of existing I've ever known by the incredibly loving tribe of the 12 step recovery process. Many of us were rocked by the aridity of last week s chosen front page story. The disease of alcoholism is not an easy foe to battle in any realm, especially this exquisite bachannal. However, I've found the deepest joys and greatest freedom from trading the bottle for a life of shenanigans and service. If someone out there is dying from alcoholism I'd just like to let them know life can be quite amazing too.Happinessis ALWAYS work. For me it has been much easier work sober.
