Whether you want to dive into natural parenting with a medication-free delivery plan or you prefer to dip your toes in the water with organic clothes and nontoxic toys, there are many ways to parent naturally in New Orleans. Here are some resources to help you in your endeavor:

La Leche League of Jefferson (504) 952-3951; The Jefferson Parish chapter of breastfeeding support group La Leche League International holds monthly meetings to counsel moms through breastfeeding to weaning.

Le Leche League of New Orleans Courtney Landry, Reactivated in July, Le Leche League of New Orleans meets at 7 p.m. the first Tuesday of each month at Zuka Baby.

Mothers' Milk Bank of Mississippi (601) 898-7979; Mothers who are currently lactating are urged to donate surplus milk to help save sick and premature infants.

Na'Zyia Doula Collective 1904 Bartholomew St., (504) 947-4790; Birth plan assistance, pain management and lactation consultations are among services the labor support group offers.

NOLA Bliss Born (504) 302-0131; Clinical hypnotherapist and birth hypnosis educator Mariah Sinclair teaches a five-week course of birth hypnosis classes to women in their third trimester of pregnancy.
