Absolute Ballet!

New Orleanians get a rare chance to see the Pacific Northwest Ballet in this program of short pieces. Renowned principal dancer Stanko Milov (pictured with Patricia Barker) directs eight members of the troupe " including New Orleans native Laura Gilbreath " in a selection of short classical works. Founded in 1972, the Seattle-based company grew to become one of the United States' premier dance companies, supporting more than 40 dancers with a repertoire in excess of 100 ballets. Tickets $30-$80. — Will Coviello 8 p.m. Fri.-Sat., May 9-10
