Dancer Alvin Ailey founded his company 50 years ago but by the mid-1960s focused on choreography. He died in 1989, and two decades later, the troupe remains one of the top names in contemporary dance. There are different programs each evening and Friday's performance includes Ailey's signature piece Revelations. Tickets $20-$125.
