Blue Man Group

Blue Man Group mixes off-the-wall stage antics with the sounds and rituals of a rock concert in its newest show, the How to be a Megastar Tour 2.0. Alternately meddlesome and inquisitive or even shocked by their own antics, the blue men decide to be rock stars, so they pump their fists, bob their heads and break things. Comedy and high-tech tricks combine as the performers imitate rock artists at a huge arena concert, accompanied by an eight-piece band. The one-time street performers still interact with their audiences but in ever larger venues for ever bigger crowds as state-of-the-art technology makes the shows more sophisticated. The group uses a variety of untraditional percussion instruments to create new sounds, like aluminum pipes and fiberglass rods. Tickets $49.50-$75. -- Emily Hohenwarter
