Dan Deacon's Ultimate Reality

Two members of the oddball Baltimore arts collective Wham City, Dan Deacon and Jimmy Joe Roche, have crafted a multimedia performance likely to leave audience members either confused or converted. Deacon, a graduate of SUNY Purchase's Conservatory of Music, composed a video gamesque 40-minute experimental electronic opus that will accompany a screening of filmmaker Roche's kaleidoscopic montage of psychedelic, colorfully manipulated clips from Arnold Schwarzenegger's films. The screening will be followed by a live set from Deacon, Roche and a pair of drummers who will improvise live during the screening. The local one-man noise band Microshards opens.
