Re: “Do you support the version of the national health care bill being debated this week in the U.S. Senate?

There's a Hunter S. Thompson quote from the Bush II Era that describes these Rethuglicans perfectly. You can find it here: http://www.goodreads.com/quotes/1301824-we…

Re: “Review: Bayou Wine Garden builds on Mid-City’s popular beer garden

"A good primer for those wanting to explore the world's wine regions." Guess it depends which regions you want to explore. Didn't see any NY Finger Lakes whites; 800+ wineries in Washington State, but only a single budget cab. A lot of California plonk. With shops like Martin, Dorgnac's and Swirl around to influence local tastes, I would have thought the selection would be mo betta.

Re: “Best of New Orleans 2015: Local Life

BEST "GRAMMER" SCHOOL???? What's that supposed to be, a rip on New Orleans education? Might work if you'd listed PUBLIC schools.

For God sake's, fire yourselves!!!

Re: “Where did a TV version of The Big Easy that air and how did it do?

Say what you will about the inaccuracies and stereotypes, but I liked both the series and the movie. I'd also venture that those depictions weighed on the writers and producers of "Treme" to not make those same mistakes.

Btw, if I recall correctly, the opening seg of the TV series featured a brief shot of Uncle Lionel. Wonder if that was his first starring role. :)

Re: “Why does Lafayette Square have no statue or monument to the Marquis de Lafayette?

I dunno. It fits just fine on the historical marker sign.

So Blake, you've told us what we already knew...there's no statue. What you haven't done is explain why not?
