Gambit's 2013 Fall Restaurant Guide

Your 2013 guide to fall dishes from New Orleans restaurants arranged by neighborhood

The 11th season of Bravo's TV cooking competition Top Chef is set in New Orleans and kicked off last week with a host of familiar faces including Emeril Lagasse. It also features local chefs Justin Devillier and Michael Sichel and contestants eager to distinguish themselves by picking ingredients, creating dishes and presenting them to the judges. The show celebrates the behind-the-scenes work that happens in restaurant kitchens, from rendering traditional dishes to concocting new specials.

TV viewers may have to settle for feasting with their eyes, but diners can dig into the fruits of that labor every day at local restaurants, from fine dining establishments to seafood houses to neighborhood eateries. Gambit's fall restaurant guide features restaurants and dishes from across the New Orleans area. Listings highlight signature and popular dishes, hours of operation, reservation policies and more. Restaurants are arranged by neighborhood, and there is a directory of all restaurants in the guide on page 101. Diners can pick a new place or visit an old favorite and judge for themselves who are New Orleans' top chefs.
