The tasting features red wine blends in a range of prices from 15 vintners. Wines include Fess Parker Big Easy Red Blend, Chateau St. Jean Cinq Cepages, Southern Belle, Sidebar Red Field Blend, Justin Isosceles and others. Tickets $25.

King Cake Festival

More than 25 bakeries and restaurants offer $1 slices of a variety of king cakes. Participants include Haydel's Bakery, Maurice's French Pastries, Nonna Randazzo's, The Buttermilk Drop, Kingfish, Waffles on Maple and others. Flow Tribe, The Bucktown All-Stars and other bands perform, there's a fun run at 9 a.m. and a fitness challenge at 9:30 a.m. Proceeds benefit Ochsner for Children. Admission is free.
