The New Orleans experimental-music promoter Anxious Sound aka fuzz guitarist and notary public Rob Cambre celebrates 11 years of difficult listening with this gig. It features two of Norway's most distinguished free-jazz improvisers, Gjerstod (pictured), who plays alto and bass saxophone and clarinet, and drummer Paal Nilssen-Love. The two have been playing music together since they were teenagers, expanding swinging jazz rhythms with a wider palette of exploratory sound. This is their first visit to a New Orleans stage together since 2002. Also performing are Donald Miller on solo 12-string acoustic guitar, Rob Cambre on solo electric, and there will be DJ sets by Beautiful Bells, also known as improvisational-jazz trickster Justin Peake. Tickets $10.
