Gentilly Fest returns Oct. 6-8 

PJ Morton, Rebirth Brass Band and gospel choirs perform in neigborhood festival

The 10th annual Gentilly Fest brings three days of live music, including a gospel tent on Saturday and Sunday, to Pontchartrain Park Playground. The music lineup includes James Andrews and Charmaine Neville on Friday; Tonya Boyd-Cannon, Michael Ward and others on Saturday; and Rebirth Brass Band, PJ Morton (pictured), T-Ray the Violinist and others on Sunday. Gospel tent performers include Zion Harmonizers, Zulu Ensemble, Pastor Tyrone Jefferson and Abundant Life Tabernacle, Greater St. Stephen Full Gospel Choir and others.

  There's also a kids' tent, food and craft vendors, and a medical tent offers blood pressure, cholesterol and dental screenings and more. Free admission.
