Re: “Bike deaths in New Orleans prompt “die-in”

One point being ignored is that many cyclists, including some of those recently killed, were ignoring very basic traffic laws that could literally have saved their lives. I see numerous cyclists ignoring stop signs and riding the wrong way on my brief commute from Marigny to the French Quarter. Maybe this "die-in" will spur the Council to start ticketing cyclists.

Re: “Uber’s bumpy start in New Orleans

I bet that for every Daspit, there's at least 5 other people who will be happy to stomp on all the taxi drivers.

Re: “Graffiti in New Orleans

I'm not going to get into the validity and definition of "street art" but I've always felt that Radtke was a tagger himself. True graffiti eradication should restore the surface to whatever it was before the graffiti existed, not replace it with another "tag," in Radtke's case, a gray rectangle. His group also allegedly paints over things that could easily be removed, such as the recent "love" signs, with the apparent goal of spreading more gray, as opposed to eliminating the so-called eyesores.

Re: “DJ Soul Sister: I won't be returning to Mimi's in the Marigny

So why has Mimi's been hosting DJ's this week?

The FB page lists Matty tonight, Dr. Dan spinning records last night...
