Jack of all trades 

  Uptown coffee shop Manhattanjack (4939 Prytania St., 504-897-5551; now serves lunch.

  In addition to buttermilk drops and breakfast pastries, the cafe offers sandwiches with ingredients the chefs make in-house, including the bread.

  The menu features a baked smoked salmon club, made with Nueske's bacon and lemon-caper aioli; a Reuben made with house-brined corned beef, Swiss cheese and sauerkraut on rye bread; and a grilled peanut butter and jelly sandwich with apricot-raspberry jam.

  Owners Jack Petronella and Coleman Jernigan opened the coffee shop in 2012.

  The cafe is open from 6:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. daily and food is served from 7:30 a.m. to 2 p.m.
