I also work in the building and on rainy days force myself to dine here. The wait staff is poorly trained, inattentive and most are so soft spoken and timid it is difficult to obtain or relay information. The food is not that great. Most of the corporate customers stick with the burger as it used to be the most reliable choice. However, the cooking is unpredictable and it seems they may have switched to frozen patties. The flavor of the burger has been lost, unless you like carbonized meat. Additionally, the portions vary - the fries are actually quite delicious. It is too bad you may get 15 on Monday and 7 on Tuesday. Paying your bill - WOW - this part they have nailed down. They very consistently make you stand around for approximately 7 - 10 minutes before finalizing your transaction. If you are taking out, bring your own bag...otherwise be prepared to hold your food and all accompanying condiments...be wild, test your balancing skills! We are hoping a new restaraunteur will come in and revisit the idea that is Bistro 38.
