In the eighth play in August Wilson's Pittsburgh cycle, Becker (Will Williams) runs a gypsy cab company that serves the Hill District, a neighborhood many licensed cabs avoid. When his son Booster (Sam Malone) comes home from prison, their garage erupts in turmoil at the same time as the city is threatening to close down the unlicensed company.
