West Bank native and swamp rock 'n' roll pioneer Joe Clay put frantic rockabilly nuggets like "Ducktail" and "Sixteen Chicks" to wax for Vik Records and appeared on The Ed Sullivan Show in 1956, months before Elvis' cropped-out-hips debut on the program. Dropped by his label, Clay became a fixture on Bourbon Street and later in the driver's seat of a local school bus. Sweet Home New Orleans presents this show. Admission $5.
