Kosher kitchen

Daniel Esses still is a partner at Three Muses, with mixologist Kimberly Patton-Bragg and singer Sophie Lee, and he is in the process of opening a Kosher restaurant inside Tulane University's Hillel house at 912 Broadway St.

It will be called Rimon, which is the Hebrew word for pomegranate.

An all-kosher menu will feature healthy fare, including a curried chickpea burger, a turkey club made with beef bacon and a faux "Caesar" salad featuring romaine lettuce, fried kale, tomatoes and a creamy miso dressing.

Esses says Rimon will be open to students and the general public sometime in August.
