Re: “The Silent Killer

How do you know when to and how to ask for additional testing? I'm 31. About a year and a half ago I started having a lot of pain. I went to my gynecologist who ordered ultrasounds. There was a large complex cyst on my right ovary. She told me not to worry and that sometimes that happened but that we would just monitor it and have another ultrasound done in 2 months. It's been over a year and a half and it keeps slowly growing and now there's one in my other ovary. Also in the past 6 months my lump nodes under my arms have been consistently enlarged and swollen. She's sending me for another ultrasound and a blood test in 2 weeks. I try not to panic because she tells me it's nothing to worry about, but I'm starting to get scared. Should I be worried? How do I know when it's time to ask for more testing? Are there other tests I should be requesting?
