Nite Jewel
Tue. Aug. 1 | Ramona Gonzalez's self-released Real High leans back and drifts into a foggy memory of '90s electronic mood swings and warped synapses of nostalgic pop tripping on synthesizers and ethereal beats. Geneva Jacuzzi and Harriet Brown open at 9 p.m. at Gasa Gasa.

2 Chainz
Update: this show has been postponed.
Thu. Aug. 3 | 2 Chainz's presence on another rapper's track secures not only that song's acclaim but another drop in his bucket of lethal one-liners pulled from his deep bench of indispensable rap wisdom. He cashes out chips on his best album yet, 2017's Pretty Girls Like Trap Music. Young Dolph opens at 8:30 p.m. at The Joy Theater.

Wanda Jackson with Gal Holiday and The Honky Tonk Revue
Sat. Aug. 5 | In July, Gal Holiday and the Honky Tonk Revue played a tribute show for one member of country music's Mount Rushmore, Hank Williams. This time they get to open for "The Sweet Lady with the Nasty Voice," rockabilly royalty Wanda Jackson. At 8:30 p.m. at Tipitina's.

Lionel Richie with Mariah Carey
Sun. Aug. 6 | Dubbed the "All the Hits" tour, this multigenerational marriage isn't lying: Together, the co-headliners can claim more than 300 million records sold, 23 No. 1 singles, 10 Grammy wins and eight decades of pop-culture domination — not to mention the most songs with "love" in the title (15 and counting). At 7 p.m. at Smoothie King Center.
