Tranche and Rose Ette

Cut Copy
Sat. March 31 | Like an expertly curated DJ set sprung to disco-ball-glittering life, Australia's Cut Copy offers something of a down-under counterpart to England's Hot Chip. The dance band is promoting its 2017 album Haiku From Zero (Astralwerks) and the 10th anniversary of its best LP, In Ghost Colours. Kauf opens at 10 p.m. at The Joy Theater.

Weedeater
Sun. April 1 | North Carolina's stoner-sludge worshippers will celebrate some kind of resurrection — the metal band performs its Steve Albini-produced 2007 album God Luck and Good Speed in its entirety. Bask, Hyborian and Cikada open at 8 p.m. at Santos.

Timber Timbre
Mon. April 2 | A heady protest record couched in a deadpan lounge/funk leisure suit, Timber Timbre's transportive 2017 album Sincerely, Future Pollution (City Slang) argues that the next best thing to living in another time is sounding like one. Room Thirteen opens at 9 p.m. at Gasa Gasa.
