The Besnard Lakes
Wed. May 10 | Jace Lasek and Olga Goreas are Montreal's other husband-and-wife music makers from the early 2000s, content to tread a stranger, more psychedelic path than Arcade Fire's Win Butler and Regine Chassagne. A Coliseum Complex Museum (Jagjaguwar) is the band's fifth self-produced, self-recorded head trip. The Life and Times and Sweater Creep open at 9 p.m. at Gasa Gasa.

Caddywhompus album release
Fri. May 12 | April's Odd Hours (Inflated Records) is the third album from the New Orleans duo featuring drummer Sean Hart and guitarist and vocalist Chris Rehm, mind-melding further into their intimate world of ecstatic bursts of hyperactive, disjointed pop. Vox & the Hound and Sexy Dex & the Fresh open the band's free album release show at 10 p.m. at Tipitina's.

The Victor Wooten Trio
Sat. May 13 | Victor Wooten is among the most celebrated bassists ever, an innovative music educator and the bottom line on every album Bela Fleck has made with the Flecktones. His Trio includes ex-Parliament/Funkadelic drummer Dennis Chambers and saxophonist Bob Franceschini. At 8 p.m. at The Joy Theater.

Mon. May 15 | Drew Auscherman's ambient solo bedroom recordings evolved into a three-piece guitar-pop band, wrapping his intimate daydreams with sparkling riffs in glorious lo-fi. The band release its acclaimed self-titled debut EP in 2016. PARTS and Lawn open at 9 p.m. at Gasa Gasa.
