Drab Majesty
Thu. Sept. 14 | Deb Demure's androgynous alien builds space-age synth worlds washed away by intergalactic gothic waves on 2017's The Demonstration (Dais Records), followed by this month's "Oak Wood" single honoring victims of Oakland's Ghost Ship fire. Pyramid Club and a DJ set from Disko Obscura open at 9 p.m. at Gasa Gasa.

Sun Seeker
Thu. Sept. 14 | Signed in 2016 to Jack White's Third Man label, the Nashville homeboys in Sun Seeker make good on the promise of sweetly shuffling first single "Georgia Dust" with July's Biddeford EP, an eminently charming six-track carousel of bent-waveform indie pop and guitar-sliding country rock. Fishplate opens at 9 p.m. at Three Keys at Ace Hotel.

U2 and Beck
Thu. Sept. 14 | In a world tour celebrating the 30th anniversary of the release of The Joshua Tree, which propelled U2 to global stardom, the band has played the entire album in sequence, with some contemporary tweaks in an arena spectacle enhanced by massive video projections. Beck joins U2 for September shows. At 7:30 p.m. at the Superdome.

Frankie Rose
Sun. Sept. 17 | On August's Cage Tropical (Slumberland), New Romantic songwriter (and former Dum Dum and Vivian girl) Frankie Rose telegraphs her cascading vocal harmonies over glassy synths and chorus-drowned bass riffs, propelled by pitter-pat drums flickering to a heartbeat. Suburban Living and Lawn open at 9 p.m. at Gasa Gasa.

Sun. Sep. 17 | Swervedriver's first new platter in 17 years was worth the wait: 2015's I Wasn't Born to Lose You (Cobraside) sounds like it was preserved in amber. The U.K. shoegazers' 16-date mini tour revisits early 1990s classics Raise and Mezcal Head in their entirety. At 10 p.m. at Siberia.
