April 13-16 | Patois: The New Orleans International Human Rights Film Festival features documentaries on the lead-poisoned water of Flint, Michigan, the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and the federal floods, the killing of Alton Sterling by Baton Rouge police, as well as the issues of activism, housing and more. Screenings at The Broad Theater.

Fri.-Sun. April 14-16 | Marigny Opera Ballet remounts its original full-length work, Orfeo, based on the mythical love story of Orpheus and Eurydice, featuring choreography by Maya Taylor and a score by Tucker Fuller. At 8 p.m. at Marigny Opera House.
