Louisiana Health Centers Receive Nearly $2 Million

Three Louisiana health centers will receive funding totaling $1.9 million to increase access to affordable health care, according to U.S. Sen. Mary Landrieu. The Hospital Service District No. 1-A in Delhi, the SWLA Center for Health Services in Lake Charles and the Marillac Community Health Centers in New Orleans will each receive around $600,000. Landrieu said these health centers will help reduce the need for unnecessary and expensive visits to the emergency room.
