Republic reprises its live music schedule with something old and something new from Scotland. Post-rock pioneer Mogwai reawakens its instrumental strengths on 2008's The Hawk is Howling (Matador), and the Twilight Sad's sweeping 2007 debut Fourteen Autumns & Fifteen Winters (Fat Cat) stirs memories of U2 peddling ideas rather than iPods. Tickets $16 in advance, $18 at the door.
