Re: “KKProjects owner Kirsha Kaechele defends herself to The Lens

To clarify my post: NYT actually DID properly credit the artists for installations, but the works were obscured by all the FASHION in the way .... I think part of the reason NYT, Interview, Art In America were hot on the trail of "KK projects" was exhibiting Peter Nadin during the same time as Prospect 1. Nadin's "First Mark" recently opened at Gavin Brown in NYC, and his "return" to the art world was the subject of a piece by Randy Kennedy in NYT. That sadly iconic "pierced" house on Villiere St is featured on Nadin's website. Kennedy has also written about Kaechele's "Life is Art" and the medicinal marijuana "project". An "art and farming" theme emerges ...

Re: “KKProjects owner Kirsha Kaechele defends herself to The Lens

Please, why apply any more "lip-gloss" to this sad little tale with the literary/Gatsby references. You don't have to make any excuses for being drawn to the flame...we all know the modus operandi of "fashion" in art circles. Besides, why would you think twice about someone prancing around St. Roch in lame gown? It's oh so "hip" "hot" and "decadent"! At least the spread in CUE did credit the ARTISTS whose work was installed ! I think in the NYT spread "you know who" got the 'props' ...
