The organization is an advocacy group focused on labor issues in the restaurant industry. In a study released last month, the group reported that nearly 37 percent of all sexual harassment charges filed by women with the Equal Employment Opportunity Commission come from the restaurant industry. The group reports this is more than five times the rate of harassment charges filed by the general female workforce.
