Tarriona "Tank" Ball leads Tank & the Bangas, a band fusing spoken word, R&B, hip-hop and New Orleans funk. The group is excited about presenting a couple of new songs at Jazz Fest, and following the Essence Festival, it will go to London for three months. "We plan to make the biggest splash we can possibly make," Ball says. "We're going to hit all the poetry open mics there as well. That's how we made our name here in New Orleans."
