Singer Leah Chase joins Harry Mayronne (pictured) and his trio at Reds, Whites and the Blues. The annual wine-tasting event is a fundraiser for Gambit's Foundation for Entertainment Development and Education, which hosts the annual Big Easy Entertainment Awards for music and theater as well as Tribute to the Classical Arts. Proceeds from all of these events support grants for local arts and education programming. Reds, Whites and the Blues features more than 200 wines and food from restaurants including Besh Steak, Byblos, Cafe Degas, St. James Cheese Company, 5Fifty5, Nonna Mia, Ralph's on the Park, The Red Maple, The Steak Knife and Dorignac's. In 2009, Foundation grants were awarded to the New Orleans Jazz Institute, Southern Rep, the Mardi Gras Indian Hall of Fame, the New Orleans Ballet Association and other organizations that provide educational programming or professional development services in the arts. Tickets $60 in advance, $70 at the door. — Will Coviello
